Product Data for
Building Services
On this platform, planners, architects, property developers and those involved in the BIM process can find high-quality, up-to-date geometry and product data for all service levels in the BIM process. Data is primarily provided from the Building Services area.
In addition to providing 2D/3D geometry models in more than 30 CAD formats, the initiative is pursuing the goal of expanding “Open BIM” by promoting the further development and data exchange of common standards such as VDI 3805, ISO 16757, ETIM MC, IFC, etc.
Our work focuses primarily on the standardisation of formats and the definition of inspection rules and processes.
The platform is supported by the industry associations ARGE Neue Medien (www.arge.de) and Bundesverband der Deutschen Heizungsindustrie e.V. (Federal Association of the German Heating Industry) (www.bdh-heizungsindustrie.de).
